2D Animation is the art of creating movement in a two-dimensional space. This includes characters, creatures, FX, and backgrounds.

The illusion of movement is created when individual drawings are sequenced together over time. One second of time is usually divided into 24 frames. Depending on the style of animation there can be as many as 24 unique drawings in one second of animation (24fps) or as little as two.

3D Animation uses computer graphics to make objects look like they are moving in 3-dimensional space. It is used to build the objects, virtual representation of a character's skeleton. Animators pose the rig at strategic points so it appears to move. IT involves motion capture, which records an actor's live movements for digital animation which provides 3D Animation software that spans the 3D production pipeline for today's demanding film-like Games, and television projects.

Sketching traditionally refers to a preliminary rough type of drawing that an artist might make in preparation for either a painting or a more formal drawing (like a study). A Sketch is less detailed than a study - a study may be a highly detailed rendition of something to be used in a large composition.

  • Storyboarding:

A storyboard is a visual representation of your script. It's a document that shows the narrative flow of your video, scene by scene. Most of the time, storyboards are made from hand-drawn sketches and notes scribbled in the margins.

A storyboard is like a map. And who would embark on a road trip without a map? The process of storyboarding forces production teams to consider the best routes to take before they even start the journey.

It helps in improving comprehension which helps children to understand a concept better because contexts can be visualized. A wall of words doesn't provide the same kind of luxury as that of a Comic Book. One reason why Comic Books are good for learning is that it increases vocabulary.
